I'm in a wedding-the dress I'm wearing is apple red. Do I wear red lips (either stain or gloss) or smoky eyes and nude lips?
This is the dress and color of the bridesmaid dress. I am lighter than the model with light brown hair/blonde highlights. Not only do I need to look fabulous for the wedding pictures, but two of my ex's will be in attendance. I'd love any makeup suggestions. Although I'm slightly worried a red gloss or stain would be too matchy-matchy, I'm also afraid of heavy eyes, especially if I cry at all during the ceremony!

If it's a nighttime wedding, smoky eye can look nice -- but for day, it might be too much.
Personally, when I've been in weddings, I've always gone for minimal eye makeup (maybe some champagne shadow w/ a nude lipstick and light blush) because I tend to cry.
I bet you could do something pretty with waterproof black eyeliner, champagne shadow, and a light lipstick or lip gloss. I think trying to go red might be tough with a red dress. you can do it, you'll just need to project confidence. Good luck!
